To our council members
Please do not extend the leasing of the Kuhio Mall for the purpose of voter registration until something
more equitable is established over here on the Kona side and around the rest of the island. It obviously
favors those who are running for election from Hilo while doing nothing to get the voters out to vote
around the rest of the island. This is blantantly unfair to all of the residents who live anywhere other
that Hilo. Here on the west side we have too much to lose to not have an even playing field when it
comes to who will be elected in the future. I urge you to do the right thing and not extend the lease.
