Subject: CRITICAL DECISION: SUPPORT RES 465-06
Dear Council Members,
we urgently request your support in voting to direct our Planning Director to initiate a
zoning code amendment immediately to protect our Waimea Pu'u from future development. I
trust you are aware that this pu'u is sacred ground in need of your intelligent, forward
thinking and awakened action.
It is essential for the preservation of the culture, the beauty, the spirit and the future
of Waimea to do so, and in that it is incumbent upon you to support Resolution 465-06
actively now. This is invaluable cultural and open space, and without a sensitive
community based plan for sustainable, ecological and sensitive cultural development such
acts of ignorance and greed must be halted by our responsive leaders. several
organizations have already recommended this land for preservation and protection... now
it's your turn.
Please inform me of your decision at your earliest possible convenience.
This is is of utmost importance to me, my family, my students and all of the citizens of
,Hawai'i nei.
