RE: Discretionary Funds (District 1)
Discretionary funds from District 1 to be used towards funding three (3) streetlights in District 1.
Two (2) of these streetlights will be installed along the Waipi`o Valley Access Road at the
discretion of the Traffic Division - Department of Public Works. The third streetlight is to be
installed at pole number 381 along Old Mamalahoa Highway in `O`okala.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $6,000.00 from the Clerk-Council Services -
Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:

RE: Resolution No. 503-06 Regarding transfer of Contingency Relief Account from
District 1 to the Department of Public Works to be expended on three (3) street light
installations within District 1.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
