These changes are appropriate and necessary because they will allow the lands adjacent to Honokohau to be developed into an expanded marina complex that will positively enhance our community and provide a important revenue stream for the Department of Hawaiian Home Lands, the Department of Land and Natural Resources. Moreover, Jacoby Development International is committed to providing a much needed reliever roadway and several unique environmental solutions to several of our community's needs, not to mention a marine science center, new community gathering places, alternative transportation options for Kona's urban core, and a lot more. JDI is a proven development entity with a very strong environmental track record that was invited into our community to try to make the best possible use of nonproductive land resources. The proposed LUPAG change will allow this project to move forward, and contribute positively to the future of West Hawaii. Aloha, Rick Gaffney 325-5000 captrick(a)aloha. net Comm. i w. 1(ogA p Ref.
