Subject: Proposed F-2 Amendment to the General Plan Land Use Pattern [LUPAG Map]
To County Council,
I am a leasehold owner in South Kona, growing coffee on a 4.5 acre parcel.
I respectfully submit my opposition to the F-2 amendment of Bill 309 which would allow
rezoning of Agriculture land down to a 9,000 Sq FT area. This would be a mistake that
would potentially allow some 400 home sites to be concentrated on a 100 acre parcel above
Kealakekua Bay, probably the most significant historical site in the State. Please deny
this amendment.
