Subject: Against Bill 309 F-2 and E-4
Aloha, we live in Kinue Terrace, Captain Cook. We strongly oppose Bill
309 F-2 Amendment which endangers the two (2) acre minimum zoning for 100 acres above
Kealakekua Bay. Kealakekua Bay is a Marine Life Conservation District. Higher density
will pollute the coral reef ecosystem. This F-2 Amendment will be responsible for killing
the coral reefs in Kealakekua Bay.
We strongly oppose Bill 309 E-4 amendment which will change 300 acres of DLNR property
from Open to Urban. Not only will this change add overwhelming amounts of vehicles to
our already overcrowded roads but runoff from landscaping will severely increase
pollutants flowing offshore damaging the reef-nourishing freshwater outflow.
