RESOLUTION NO. 498 06
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Trap and Skeet Range located in Hilo, Hawaii is a County facility
that is used by many organizations such as the Big Island Trap Club, Kilauea Sporting Clays,
Big Island Gun Dogs, Big Island Bird Hunters, Boy Scouts, high school programs, and other
community organizations; and
WHEREAS, this facility is also used to host annual competitions that attracts
participants from the neighbor islands, mainland, and Canada; and
WHEREAS, three out of four trap machines are very old and rundown; and
WHEREAS, the generator that powered the facility was stolen and replaced with a
temporazy one, which was purchased by a Big Island Trap Club member; and
WHEREAS, to keep this facility in operation, discretionary funds from Council
District I will be appropriated to help cover the costs to replace three (3) Wobble PAT Trap
machines and one (1) generator for the Department of Parks and Recreation's Trap and Skeet
Range.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transfened/appropriated as set
forth below:

010.500.5507.06 Depaztment of Pazks and Recreation $7,500.00

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
