RESOLUTION NO. 504 06
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Hawaii Island Land Trust (HILT) is anon-profit organization located
within the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, the HILT is an all-volunteer Board of Directors, which purpose is to work with
the community to protect, preserve and manage lands, and
WHEREAS, the HILT has received a "Challenge Grant" from the Hawaii Community
Foundation to hire a director and support staff to works with private landowners, and County and
State governments to preserve land in perpetuity through conservation easements and outright
purchase; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from District 7 will be appropriated to the Planning
Department to be used as a grant towards HILT to start up new office operation.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred and appropriated as set forth below:

CREDITED TO:
010.141.5141.02 Planning Department $5,000.00

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall fortivard a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Planning Department and the Director of Finance, and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the
terms of this resolution.
