Re: Discretionary Funds (District 6)
Discretionary funds from District 6 will be used for funding the installation of a street light on Pearl
Street in the Mauna Loa Estates subdivision.
The street light will be erected by the Traffic Division - Department of Public Works, at their discretion
as they have the engineers to make such decisions.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $2,000.00 from the Clerk-Council Services-
Contingency Relief account to the following account and project:

RE: Resolution No. 57 5-06 Regarding transfer of Contingency Relief Account Funds
from District 6 to the Department of Public Works for the installation of a single
streetlight in the Mauna Loa Estates subdivision, situated in District 6.
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Finance Committee to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing this
matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and the
matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Finance Committee
for placement on its future agenda.
