RESOLUTION NO. 52'7 t;'6
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT
AND FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO
A DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S)
WHEREAS, the Christmas Wish Program is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
whose mission is to help families, especially the children, living in poverty; and
WHEREAS, the Christmas Wish Program is helping to coordinate donations for
the 3rd Annual Kea`au Christmas Light Parade, which is scheduled for Saturday,
December 9, 2006; and
WHEREAS, last year's parade was a great success with over 70 parade entrants; and
WHEREAS, the Kea`au Christmas Light Parade is a family event that brings the
entire community together in celebration and unity; and
WHEREAS, throughout the day, there will be activities such as a Christmas wreath
and ornament contest for all ages, a Christmas cookie contest, a gingerbread house contest,
food booths, and various vendors selling their products; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 3 will be appropriated to the
Department of Research and Development to be used as a grant to help cover the marketing
costs for the 3rd Annual Kea`au Christmas Light Parade.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCII, OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated asset
forth below:

OUT AND FROM:
010.101.5101.91 Clerk-Council SVC -Contingency Relief $1,000.00
CREDITED TO:
010.161.5162.65 Department of Research and Development - $1,000.00
New Industry & Industry Development
(3`d Annual Kea`au Christmas Light Parade)
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this
resolution to the Director of Research and Development and Director of Finance and that the
Director of Finance is hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with
the terms of this resolution.
