Re: Operating Budget
The State of Hawai'i Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention and Justice
Assistance Division is providing a $59,199 grant for the Hawai'i County Police
Department's Narcotics Task Force program. The purpose of the grant is for the
interdiction of drugs within the County of Hawai'i via the apprehension/arrest/conviction of
the individuals smuggling narcotics into/within our island. In the current fiscal year's
budget, $55,500 was appropriated in anticipation of this grant.
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the
additional funds of $3,699 into the Narcotics Task Force account and to bring it up to the
amount of the total grant award of $59,199.
