Dear Council Members,
After sending in testimony against the F2 amendment, I now have second thoughts
about it.
I am still against converting the 100 acres above Kealakekua Bay into a density
higher than what is currently allowed. A higher density means more impacts to
Kealakekua Bay. Please read up on the ALTERED OCEANS series that was
published in the L.A. Times last month to learn how unhealthy our oceans are at
the current time.
I am not against converting other ag areas in Kona from ag to rural so long as it
does not impact the ocean.
So, bottom line is that I am FOR the F2 amendment so long as it does not apply to
Kealakekua Bay.
