Angel; Isbell, Virginia Subject: MLG testimony: Delete E-4 and F-2 - Bill 309 Importance: High Re: Bill 309, Ordinance amending the Hawaii County General Plan September 7, 2006, 10:30am public testimony Aloha, Council Chairman Higa and Council members: As we've testified previously, and as you know is the public will from extensive public testimony, amendments E-4 and F-2 should be deleted from Bill 309. Rather than repeat our testimony from previous readings of this bill, we simply ask that you acknowledge public sentiment expressed both before you and in the CDP process: that both Kealakekua and the Honokohau/Kealakehe areas be protected from private development. The changes in zone requested for these areas are untimely, unnecessary, and give the "green light" to developers at potential serious loss to the community and the natural resources upon which all life on the island depends. Once again, we ask on behalf of the Sierra Club's 800-plus duespaying members on this island that you vote to delete E-4 and F-2 from Bill 309.
