This proposal will provide additional public pazking spaces to aid in the replacement of on-street parking that the Department would like to temporarily disallow (time-limit parking) during a proposed test to disallow on-street parking during the AM & PM peak traffic periods; and 2) partial removal and adjustment of the undesirable perpendicular pazking, fronting Oshima Store. This test and adjustment will aid in the removal of the undesirable parking and allow smoother traffic flow, especially through these congested areas. Comm. 1181: AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND ORDINANCE NO. 06-79, AS AMENDED, THE (Res. 360) OPERATING BUDGET FOR THE COUNTY OF HAWAII FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2007 (by appropriating an additional $3,699 into the Police Department's Narcotics Task Force account) From Finance Director William Takaba, dated October 26, 2006, transmitting the above bill. The State of Hawaii Department of the Attorney General's Crime Prevention and Justice Assistance Division is providing a $59,199 grant for the Hawaii County Police Department's Narcotics Task Force program. The purpose of the grant is for the interdiction of drugs with the County of Hawaii via the apprehension arrest/conviction of the individuals smuggling narcotics into/within our island.
