Thank you for clarifying concerns in the community regarding the
Public Hearing notice for Bill 309, the Interim General Plan
Amendments. We are grateful for your analysis and suggestions to
correct that process.
Another concern has been brought to our attention regarding the
timing for placing Bill 251 (Stanford Carr Development) on the
November 15th agenda. Bill 251 was "postponed" from the October
31st (Bills for 1st Reading) agenda and voted to go to a Public
Hearing. The Public Hearing was held on November 9th in Kona.
But before the Public Hearing was held, Bill 251 had already been
agendized for the November 15th Council meeting. Did we follow the
correct sequence to protect the people's rights?
