Subject: Resolution Transferring Council Contingency Funds (Council District 4)
Discretionary funds from Council District 4 will be used to help pay for travel expenses for
Ho'okani Pila, an `ukulele class under the County of Hawaii Department of Parks and
Recreation's Culture and Arts Division, so that they may represent the Big Island at the 2007
`Ukulele Festival on Oahu on July 29, 2007.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the transfer of $2,000.00 from the Clerk-Council Services
Contingency Relief account to the following account(s) and project(s):

RE: (Resolution No. 530-06 : Transferring/Appropriating an Appropriation Out
and From the Designated Fund Account and Crediting Same to a Designated Fund
Account)
Pursuant to Section 2(g) of Rule 4 of the Rules of Procedure of the Council of the County of
Hawaii, this written request is submitted with my approval that the above-referenced matter be
waived from the Committee on Finance to the full Council for immediate action. In reviewing
this matter, timely approval is crucial. It is therefore advantageous that approval is granted and
the matter placed onto the next Council agenda for review. However, in the event this request is
denied, for whatever reason, I understand the matter shall be referred to the Committee on
Finance for placement on its future agenda.
