Chief Oliveira:
The Waikoloa Village Association is presenting equipment to the County of Hawaii Fire
Department for use at the station in Waikoloa Village as a token of appreciation and
gratitude for the efforts of the Department in fighting the wildfire of August 2005. The
items being gifted to the Fire Department were the choice of the crew at the Waikoloa
Fire Station. While it took a while to satisfy the rigors of procurement policies, we are
finally at the point where we can make the presentation of the items to you and the fire
fighters at our local station.
We would like to make a formal presentation at the regularly scheduled Waikoloa Village
Association monthly Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday November 28 at 5pm. We
hope that you or your designated Fire Department representative will be present to accept
the donation.
Per the choice of the Waikoloa Village Fire Station personnel, the Waikoloa Village
Association will be donating the following which have been acquired for their use:
Mobile Radio $871.91
1200 Watt Worklight $ 52.05
Stihl Chainsaw& Sharpener $560.00
