The equipment includes a mobile radio, a worklight, and a chainsaw and these have an estimated total value of $1,483.96. The Waikoloa Village Association is making this donation as a token of their appreciation for the efforts of the department in fighting the wildfire of August 2005. The items being gifted to the Fire Department were the choice of the crew at the Waikoloa Fire Station. While it took a while to satisfy the rigors of procurement policies, we are finally at the point where we can make the presentation of the items to you and the fire fighters at our local station. We would like to make a formal presentation at the regularly scheduled Waikoloa Village Association monthly Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday November 28 at 5pm. We hope that you or your designated Fire Department representative will be present to accept the donation.
