A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER VIRGINIA ISBELL FOR HER YEARS OF
SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
WHEREAS, VIRGINIA ISBELL has been a Council Member of the County of Hawaii
since 2004 representing Council District 7, South Kona (portions of Honaunau, Captain Cook,
Kealakekua) and North Kona (Kainaliu, Keauhou, Kahalu`u, Holualoa); and
WHEREAS, during these past two years, Council Member Isbell has participated on all
standing committees and served as Chair of the Committee on Finance (2004-2006), Vice Chair
of the Committee on Public Works and Intergovemmental Relations (2004-2006), and Vice
Chair of the Hawaii County Council (2005-2006); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Isbell has consistently and unwaveringly demonstrated
personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and outstanding public
service to her constituents and to the general public throughout the County of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Isbell will complete her term of office at Noon on
Monday, December 4, 2006, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all
Council meetings held during her years in office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Virginia Isbell for
her years of service, and offers its best wishes for her continued health, success and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Virginia Isbell.
