A RESOLUTION EXTENDING THE HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL'S SINCERE
GRATITUDE TO COUNCIL MEMBER FREDERICK C. HOLSCHUH, M. D., FOR HIS
YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE COUNTY OF HAWAII
WHEREAS, FREDERICK C. HOLSCHUH, M. D., has been a Council Member of the
County of Hawaii since 2002 representing Council District 1, Hamakua, North Hilo, and portions of
South Hilo (Hakalau, Honomu, Pepe`ekeo, Papa`ikou, Kaiwiki); and
WHEREAS, during these past four years, Council Member Dr. Holschuh has
participated on all Standing Committees and served as the Chair of the Committee on Human
Services and Economic Development (2002-2006), Vice Chair of the Committee on Public
Safety and Parks and Recreation (2004-2006), and Vice Chair of the Committee on Public
Works and Intergovernmental Affairs (2002-2003); and
WHEREAS, Council Member Dr. Holschuh has consistently and unwaveringly
demonstrated personal dedication, leadership, integrity, commitment to excellence, and
outstanding public service to his constituents and to the general public throughout the County of
Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, Council Member Dr. Holschuh will complete his term of office at Noon on
Monday, December 4, 2006, having compiled an exemplary attendance and voting record for all
Council meetings held during his years in office.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY
OF HAWAII that it hereby extends its sincere gratitude to Council Member Dr. Holschuh for
his years of service, and offers its best wishes for his continued health, success and prosperity.
BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the Clerk of the County of Hawaii transmit a true
copy of this resolution to Council Member Frederick C. Holschuh, M. D.
