Your Committee on Public Safety and Pazks and Recreation, to which was referred
Communication No.1106Bi11 No.347 reports as follows:
Bill No.347, transmitted by Pazks and Recreation Director Pat Engelhard, via Communication
No.1106, dated October 3, 2006, designating the name "Wai`aha Bay Beach Park" for the open
pazk in Kailua-Kona.
After a suggestion to change the name of "Wai`aha Bay Beach Pazk" to "Wai`aha Beach Pazk"
(deleting the word "Bay"), committee members voted unanimously to approve Bi11347 with a
friendly amendment reflecting the change.
Your Committee on Public Safety and Pazks and Recreation is in accord with the purpose and
intent of Bill No.347 as amended to Draft 2 and recommends it pass first reading.
