Friends of the Park
(Kohala Pool Mural)
These discretionary funds from Council District 9 will be used to pay for the installation of a
nine-foot by twelve-foot mural that was created by over 200 students at Pa`auilo, Honoka`a,
Waimea, and Kohala Elementary Schools. The Department of Parks and Recreation has
accepted the donation of this community mural and selected a suitable location at Kohala Pool to
display the artwork.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Resolution No. 485-06
and recommends its adoption.
