Mr. Angel Pilago - Hawaii County Council - Planning Committee
RE: RESOLUTION # 404-06 - Puapua'a Point Park / Hawaii County Acquisition
Dear Mayor Kim, Mr. Pilago, Mrs. Isbell, fellow Council Members, and Hawaii County Planning Committee Members
I / We are Property Owner(s) and Resident(s) of 75-6052 and 6056 AN Drive, (Also Known as Hawaii Mills
Subdivision, ' Kaiolu Road') , a Makai road off of AN Drive, situated directly North and adjacent to the Proposed
Property for acquisition by the county:
I / We are in SUPPORT of RESOLUTION # 404-06
To direct the Mayor of the County of Hawaii, and his administration to begin negotiations with the Puapua'a
Property Owner ( Jacob LLC of Record) for acquisition by the County of Hawaii.
OUR SUPPORT is continqent and Subject to the following
• That the acquisition and Resolution includes ALL TMK's of the Puapua'a Property from Casa De'Emdecko on
the South, to Hawaii Planing Mills Subdivision ( Commonly Known as Kaiolu Road ) to the North, and From Alii
Drive on the West, to the Ocean. ( approximately 13.5 acres )
Property Address TMK of Record
75-6060 AM Drive (3) 7-5-020-022
75-6066 AM Drive (3) 7-5-020-034
75-6072 AM Drive (3) 7-5-020-028
75-6076 AM Drive (3) 7-5-020-024
We have had some confusion regarding Planning Department maps and records of the parcel, and we want to
ensure that the entire parcel will be acquired from the Owner of Record as part of this Resolution.
In consideration of our support, we ask the following:
1. Since this parcel is directly adjacent to, and completely borders our collective properties, following acquisition,
we ask that a representative of our SubDivision is allowed to participate on any future Committees that may be
formed regarding development of the Puapua'a Parcel. We have several concerns that can be addressed at a
future point, on a development committee.
2. We would like to see this Cultural Area of Historic Significance to be linked to the Kahalui-Keauhou Parkway
( also known as the Ali'i Parkway), for easy accessability of Pedestrians and Cyclists. This can be accomplished
possibly by a path on the North Side of the Ali Lani Condominium Complex.
AT THIS POINT, We would like to give our sincere Thank You, to everyone who has been involved in
spearheading this project, from concept and inception, through to this Council Resolution, and Mayor Kim and the
Council for considering and approving this Resolution.

Thank You for your consideration and full support of this project, in the interest of all current and future County of
Hawaii Residents, for the Preservation of one of the more Culturally and historically significant undeveloped parcels
on the Island we call home.
Respectfully Submitted,
