SUBJECT: TRAFFIC CODE AMENDMENT
Proposed new section and schedule to designate angle-parking areas.
Section 24-204(a) of the County Traffic Code states: "The council shall determine upon what streets
angle parking shall be permitted."
We previously established, marked and designated angle parking stalls in downtown Hilo and other areas
in accordance with Section 24-198 of the traffic code without Council determination.
Request the Hawaii County Traffic Code be amended as described in the attached draft for an ordinance.
We ask for your review and consideration for adoption of the subject amendment. Should you have any
