Subject: Rice property purchase
Dear council members,
As a member of the save our Lands citizen's committee and the Mauka Makai Access committee
of the Hamakua Ag Plan, I am writing to you to ask you to vote in favor of purchasing the
Rice property at Waipio Rim.
This was one of the highest priority properties identified by the Public Access, Open
Space, and Natural Resources Preservation Commission that
should be acquired by the County to protect Waipio Valley. Please
support the work of the Commission and acknowledge the overwhelming public sentiment in
favor of protection of this cherished and sacred place.
