RE: (Disapproval) Bill # 258
Bill # 258 Animal Control
Hawaii County Council Members,
I have reviewed this bill, and find it to be very deceiving with many hidden
purposes. It seems the main purpose of this Bill is to repeal Chapter 4
( relating to animals) of the Hawaii County Code, and establish a new
chapter dictating more activist control and greed for higher revenues.
Giving the Human Society enforcement powers is unthinkable, they are
contracted to care for and control animals, they are not and should never be
considered law enforcers in any way.
I humbly ask all Council Members to vote " NO" on
Bill 258, or at the very least, please defer it to the new
Council Members, so it can be more closely reviewed.
