Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 356, reports as follows:
Bill No. 356, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 495-06 by Director of Finance
William Takaba, via Communication No. 1143, dated October 16, 2006, amends Ordinance
No. 06-79, as amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2007. The amendment is as
follows:

3305.52 Wireless E911 System $350,000
Total $350,000
To:
010.118.5118.22 Wireless E911 System $350,000
Total $400,000
These funds from the State will be to allow appropriate public safety agencies a display of a 911
caller's identification and location when using wireless communications.
Pursuant to Section 46-7, Hawaii Revised Statutes, and Section 13-13(b), Hawaii County
Charter, the Mayor is hereby authorized to apply for, receive and expend the funds for a Wireless
E911 System.
Your Committee on Finance is in accord with the purpose and intent of Bill No. 356 and
recommends it pass first reading.
