RE: County Council Funding for Pilot Ranger Program in Waipi'o
Under Section 106 of Historic Preservation the Hawaiian People are entitled to and meet
the criteria for having their own Historic Preservation Officers... under the guidance
and budgeting of NATHPO in Washington; see Bambi Krauss, President of NATHPO. I have spoken with
potential rangers who are very interested in this proposal.
