Kona Coffee Estates Page 1 of 1

Murashige, Laura
`s
From: Marie Saplan [marie@fair-wind.com] nQ a~
CVUi1 ~Q~ 2u
Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2006 8:33 AM
To: counciltestimony@co.hawaii.hi.us i!
Subject: Kona Coffee Estates Q]

This development needs to be looked at more carefully and not pushed through
which unfortunately
it looks like some of the council members are trying to do.

It was said there have been public hearings on this issue and it is time to move
forward, but the public said,
and is still saying STOP!!

A gravel road and an extremely higher density development is not the solution to
our problems in Kona. We want to see things happen but not like this! And don't
shove it down our throats. Council members work for the public community, listen
to what we are saying. Not to those who who buy you off with campaign
contributions.

Their is no reason this has to be passed today. This is not going to help the
housing issue. Their are many developments around Kona that are in progress
now and do not have buyers because the market is slowing down.

It will be one more concentrated development with overpriced homes adding to
the problem of our already overcrowded schools etc.

This should not pass today. Do not do it!!!

Marie Saplan
73-1162 Ahikawa Street
Kailu-Kona, Hi 96740

325-1009

Comm.
