Dear Councilman Higa,
I am writing this letter concerning Bill 300. I am a student at Hilo High School,co
enrolled in a participation in democracy class. I myself do not drink, but I know people
who do consume alcohol, and none of them have caused disorderly conduct.
So I am writing this to say that I am against Bill 300 to ban alcohol from in all
beach parks because I believe it does not promote so many problems as everyone thinks it
does. I say do not ban the alcohol, but arrest the rowdy ones that do cause trouble.
Besides if the bill does pass I believe there will be increase in crime rates, because many
will do it any way so there is no sense in it. Some people's actions should not spoil the
rights of other people to drink in a park where it is allowed.
