Dear Mayor Kim -
My name is William Waite, I go to Hilo High School, I am sixteen years old and
I've body boarded all my life. I am writing about the drinking at parks ban (BIL000).
We were discussing it in our Participation in Democracy class and we came up with good
points.
I go to the beach every day I always see people drink and I see how they act.
Usually they don't bother any of the locals but they always mess with the haole's. That's
the reason why I'm with the ban because I've seen a lot of hurt tourists when they come
across a drunk local. I feel bad because they come here with all the is excitement and they
end up on the ground because they got knocked the hell out by some drunk guy who has
nothing to do except drink.
Please make copies and share me letters with the other council members, Mahalo...
