Dear Councilman Higa
My name is Royce Ebesu and I am a senior at Hilo High School in Ms. Dom's
Participation in Democracy class. I am concerned about the ruling on Bill 300 which
would make drinking illegal at public beach parks. Soon I will be a voting member of
society so I hope that you will hear me out.
I am strongly against the ban of drinking at public beach parks. This has never
been done before and so many people go down to the beach and enjoy a few beers. This
is such a relaxing place to be and is enjoyed by many. If the ban occurs people will do it
anyways but just be sneaky about it. It's just like our cell-phone ban here at Hilo High
School. A lot of people still use their cell-phones even if it is banned. People are going
to do whatever they want anyways. I hope that you can here my side of this issue.
Please make copies and share my letter with the other Council members, Mahalo.
