Subject: Save our Aina-Protect Kealakekua Bay
HAWAII COUNTY COUNCIL MEMBERS:
SAVE OUR AINA
In an effort to assure that the public's participation is limited, the FINAL public hearing
regarding the issue of Bill 309 has been scheduled for the day after Thanksgiving in Kona.
I can't believe the Council scheduled a public hearing on that day. It is disrespectful of your
constituents. It is family time.....
I have family coming from the mainland and have already made plans for the day after
Thanksgiving. I am unable to attend the public hearing.
Many, many Big Island residents are strongly opposed to F-2 and protest the scheduling of
this hearing over this holiday weekend. I request that Bill 309 have a final reading
before the Newly Elected County Council. If the Council votes on Bill 309 after the
final reading, I request that they DELETE F-2.
Our aina will be irreparably damaged if we don't care for and respect it. We need a
comprehensive plan that protects agricultural land for future generations.
