Dear Chairman Yagong and Committee Members:
The Hilo Downtown Improvement Association (DIA) would like to request
time during the June 15, 1998 meeting of the Committee on Public Works
and Parks to present a current report on the effect of the Free Parking
Program in Downtown Hilo.
At that meeting, it is the intention of the DIA to request an extension of
the moratorium through the end of September and to include enforcement
of the time limits. Such action will allow time to definitively assess all
relevant impacts.
The Committee's past support is appreciated, and we look forward to
working with you in the future on this matter.
