I urge the Council to vote AGAINST the development as it is currently proposed.
This is the opportunity needed to show that infrastructure must be properly addressed before approval
for a project and rezoning is approved. I urge the Council to take advantage of this opportunity and vote
AGAINST this proposal following the wishes of the residents of Kailua-Kona who support concurrency.
A request to the developer for a complete evaluation of the infrastructure impact and needs, as well as
where the resources will come from to address the issues, will not impose any hardship upon the
developer. It might cause a delay for consideration but overall it is within the purview of the developer
to consider infrastructure.
