Subject: Kona Coffee Estates Re-zoning

Aloha,
Kona Coffee Estates would strain our already inadequate infrastructure.
Yes cul-de-sac subdivisions were allowed to be built in the past. But why continue the
practice. They only perpetuate poor traffic flow.
The majority of our traffic woes here in Kona is due to the lack of secondary connector
roads. Too much traffic is being funneled on to primary arteries like Queen Kaahumanu and
Kuakini. This would continue with Kona Coffee Estates.As if you wanted to drive between
Kona Coffee Estates and Kailua View Estates would require to take Queen Kaahumanu Highway.
Food for thought they did a traffic survey up in Waimea recently. The surprising results
was most of the traffic was generated locally,people going from their house to the local
store. Thus allowing Kona Coffee Estates to move forward would hasten the traffic
nightmare in the Kailua-Kona urban core.
I urge you deny to deny this re-zoning,
