Members of Hawaii County Council
Members of the Weiwi Community Association unanimously passed a
motion in support of the passage of Bill 300 concerning drinking in public. We
live at HiWs beaches: Kealoha, Carlsmith (4 Mile), Leleiwi and Richardson
Beach Parks, so we witness on a daily basis excessive public drinking and the
resulting unlawful behaviors that result from too much drinking.
We would appreciate passage of Bill 300 to give our law enforcement
personnel additional power to confront this problem.
