EVERYONE KNOWS THIS YEAR HAS HEEN FULL OF VERY UNUSUAL WEATHER
EVENTS AND EVERYONE KNOWS THAT WE ARE FAST APPROACHING THE
MILLENNIUM.,
WHERE MOST, IF NOT ALL, THE PROPHETS SAY THAT THERE IS NOTHING
BEYOND AND THAT ALL THE GOOD THINGS OF LIFE ARE ALL BUT GONE.
WE HAVE WASTED MOST OF EARTH'S RENEWABLES IN OUR INSATIABLE
APPETITE FOR MORE, NEVER FULLY REALIZING WHAT THEY WERE REALLY
FOR. AM I A FOOL TO FORE WARN, OPEN MYSELF UP TO SCORN AND THE
"CHICKEN LITTLE" SYNDROME--SHOULD I NOT TOO PLAY MY LIFE AWAY,
LISTEN NOT TO WHAT THE PROPHETS SAY.
NATURE KEEPS POINTING OUT OUR MISTAKE WHILE PLANET EARTH SEES HOW
MUCH IT CAN TAKE.
AS THE PROBLEMS OF OUR TIMES BECOME MORE ACUTE I BECOME MORE
AWARE OF HOW PRECIOUS LIFE REALLY IS AND AM ASTOUNDED BY HOW MANY
PEOPLE CHOOSE TO IGNORE SAME. MOST ON A QUEST FOR INSTANT
GRATIFICATION, FILLING THEIR LIVES WITH "FIXES" TILL THEY BECOME
OBLIVIOUS TO THE SIMPLE TRUTHS OF LIFE--GETTING CAUGHT UP WITH
KEEPING UP, THE NEWEST THIS THE LATEST THAT, GOING ALONG WITH ALL
THAT "JIVE"---WHILE MOST OF THE WORLD IS IN A STRUGGLE JUST TO
STAY ALIVE.
MANY OF US ARE ANXIOUS ABOUT THE FUTURE AND ARE TIRED OF POLITICS
AS USUAL, WEARY OF THE "WORK & SPEND" CYCLE, AND ARE HUNGARY FOR
LEADERSHIP AND LIFE-STYLES CHARACTERIZED BY HUMAN-CENTERED VALUES
WE MUST BUILD MORE HIPARTISON FOUNDATIONS, AND THIS BEING AN
ELECTION YEAR I AM ASKING ALL VOTERS TO LOOK AT WHERE WE, AS A
SOCIETY, AND OUR CHILDREN ARE AT.
WE MUST THINK LESS OF A TECHNOLOGICAL FUTURE AND THINK MORE OF
OUR CHILDREN, AND OUR ISLAND HOME, THINK MORE OF THE INTIMATE
DETAILS OF OUR EVEY-DAY LIFE. WE MUST THINK STATE, NATIONAL, AND
GLOBAL---BUT BEING AN ISLAND, IN ITSELF, VERY REMOTE, WE MUST ACT
LOCALLY TO ENHANCE SAID POSITION.

The 4th of July
Lights up the night sky
With all shades of RED,WHITE and BLUE
Without our REVOLUTION I wouldn't be me
and you wouldn't be you
Violence galore
Like shades of WAR
The night tells of our inception
However we must EVOLVE---where we now
Realize the deception
For "THOU SHALL NOT KILL"
For Freedom or Thrill
For any reason what so ever
And don't let those in Poetry or Prose
Lead you into Battle
NO MATTER HOW CLEVER
For the Planet on which we now stand
Needs a helping hand
if it is to Universally SURVIVE
And if it doesn't make it
Where will we be
Surly not alive
In closing let me ask you
How many names have you forgotten
Of the BIRDS that no longer fly
Of the ANIMALS that no longer roam
Of the REFUGEES wandering this EARTH
Looking for a HOME
Think about it--Is something wrong
We are being told in Poetry and Song
We can change it---Only if we TRY

THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE"EXPERIENCE xAs
SHOWN THAT MANKIND ARE MORE DISPOSED TO SUFFER--4:HILE EVILS ARE
SUFFERABLE THAN TO RIGHT THEMSELVES BY ABOLISHING THE FORMS TO
WHICH THEY ARE ACCUSTOMED"
KNOWING THAT VIRTUALLY HALF OF ALL INMATES ARE CONVICTED OF NON-
VIOLEIQT CRIMES AND THAT OVER 80o OF THOSE ARE DRUG RELATED--KNOW-
ING THAT IT COST OVER $25,000 PER YEAR, VERSYS $6,000(FOR TREAT-
MENT) WOULD NOT IT BE MORE HUMANE AND FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE TO
START HELPING THESE PEOPLE RATHER THAN CROWDING THEM INTO EXPEN-
SIVE AND VIOLENT PRISONS, THIS WOULD ELIMINATE THE NEED FOR MORE
PRISONS AND THROUGH DRUG TREATMENT WE WOULD START SERVICING THE
CAUSE AND PUT INTO PERSPECTIVE THE TRUE MEANING OF OUR CONSTITU-
TION. OUR CONSTITUTIONAL RIGHTS ARE BEING USURPED BY THE WORST
FORM OF TYRANNY--BAD LAiniS.
THIS DID NOT JUST HAPPEN---IT WAS A DELIBERATE MANIPULATION OF
POWER,PUT INTO PLAY TO CONTROL A DISSENTIENT POPULACE,I CAUGHT ON
TO THIS PLOY IN 1969 WHEN NIXON INTRODUCED HIS "SAFE STREETS"
PROGRAM, A PROGRAM THAT SYSTEN:ATICALLY SUBSTITUTED HEROIN FOR
MARIJUANA AND PUT THIS COUNTRY ZN ITS PRESENT "LAW & ORDER"
POSITION. WHEN THE EVENTS OF TODAY BECOME HISTORY. THE TRUTH WILL
BE SHOWN,AS WILL THE DECEPTION AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND WHY THERE
WAS NO MONEY,WHY MARIJUANA WAS AGAINST THE LAW AND WHY THEY in7ERE
BUILDING PRISONS INSTEAD OF SCHOOLS---IT ZS ALL CONNECTED
IT IS TIME TO START SWEEPING THE
PRISONS OF INHUMANITIES
TIME TO START SPOT CLEANING ALL COURT ROOMS AND POLI1^ICAL ARENAS
TIME TO CALL THE DELIBERATE D:YSTIFICATION OF KNOWLEDGE FOR IT

FEEL ABOUT THINGS.
TOMORROW WILL NOT HEED NOR NEED THE RULES GF TODAY.

Logically Speaking:Are we (The Human Society) MATURE
ENOUGH TO EVOLVE ?
In this GLOBAL GAME for the regimentation of HUMAN CONDUCT, we
keep revolving around the same ARCHAIC ECONOMIC CONCEPTS that
have put us and our Planet in this present DIRE POSITION.
The regimentation of Human conduct (ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT)is wrong
and will only lead us to ARMAGEDDON. We must aim for the Funda-
mental Principals of DEMOCRACY Ignoring Political
Complexities and immediately Stop Revolving
and EVOLVE toward (local) Moral and Ethical standards. start
thinking GLOBAL and act LOCAL
Having some of the skills but not the temperament to become fully
involved in politics I am asking for periodic acceptance of my
input, especially in ELECTION years, as an unselfish act on my
part to bring to the populace a humanitarien spin on where we as
a society, mostly through complacency are at.And am asking all to
take a hard look at their individual responsibility and to get
involved on some level to start solving the many problems that
APATHY breeds.
Will the affluent, who consume a disproportionate share of the
world's resources, be willing to have less, be willing to live
more simply so that others may simply live ? I don't think so, in
fact I believe that the fissures of cast will open wider in this
country, unless there is a total economic collapse, utter social
disintegration, which by the way of social stratification has a
tendency to dull people's conscience (build more prisons) or
massive ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION---the latter seems to be just
around the corner. Are the rules we live by still valid ? Will
the archaic laws we now control by destroy the planet ?
We need POLITICS that PRODUCES POLICIES for the common good of
the PLANET not the POCKETBOOK. We must seriously start reversing
the damage we have done to the BIOSPHERE.
SUSTAINABILITY OR BUST : "susTAINABILITY" riven
the prevailing MIND-SET--Difficult, perhaps even impassible
"BUST" What we are doing is not sustainable. Without a wholesale
transformation of the economic system to conform to the
principles of ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY, eventual economic
DECLINE IS INEVITABLE, leading but to only one place ARMAGEDDON !
Knowing that if this transformation is going to happen it will
only happen if ALL GET INVOLVED and this is a great time to do so
an election year where you can exercise your right to vote, USE
IT OR LOSE IT. Unselfishly get involved for the children they are
the future. Let our LEGACY be WE LIVED, WE LOVED, WE TRIED
