am responding to Hawaii County Resolution 267-98 which proposes the County exchange
A,soO acres in Hamakua with Kamehameha Schools Bishop Estate (KSBE} for lands whic.~
we own in various parts of the island (Hilo, Puna, Kona).
'vly ~.mderstanding is the County Council will be holding meetings soon in Kona, Hamakua
:nd Hilo on Resolution 267-98.
am asking that these meetings be put off until we have had an opportunity to discuss rhr
resolution's iraent with cur Trustees- In the event that you are unable to withdraw tha
resoation, we request that you omit any reference to KSBE and its properties-
We ~.vill be back to you with a clear response on the resolution by September 15, 1998.
