This program involves the community based-agencies and government organizations to work together to address youth gangs and the issues surrounding these groups. In the current fiscal year's budget, $54,000 was appropriated in anticipation of this grant. Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating the additional funds of $5,000 into the Gang Response -Hilo account and to bring the total grant award to $59,000.
