Re: Hawaii County Police Department Donation ~
Enclosed is a resolution accepting a monetary donation of $2,000 from W~hMart$~+lo,
325 E. Maka`ala Street, Hilo, Hawaii 96720. These funds, donated as part of Wal-Mart
Hilo's community involvement program, will be used for general law enforcement related
purposes.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget by appropriating
the $2,000 monetary donation into the Police Department's Administrative Division's
OCE account for Public Safety Supplies.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Police Department.

B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The Wal-Mart Foundation is donating funds to be used by the Hawaii Police Department for general law
enforcement related purposes. A similar donation has been received by the Department from Wal-Mart in
the past.
