Re: Capital Budget
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the ADA Curb Ramp Compliance project for
$1,500,000 to this fiscal year's Capital Budget.. This project involves the constructing of
curb cuts at street intersections throughout the island so that persons with disabilities are
able to use our public sidewalks. For the past several years, we have been constructing
curb ramps in order to fulfill with the court order that we comply with the Americans with
Disability Act. The bids on the final four plans came in higher than estimated and we need
an additional $1,500,000 to complete these projects.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Department of Public Works.
