Re: Police Grant
Enclosed is a bill for an ordinance amending the Operating Budget
for $10,500. The Police Department, through the Department of
Transportation Motor Vehicle Safety Office has been granted $30,500
to (1) purchase four (4) laser speed measuring devices, (2) purchase
an Accidental Investigation Measuring System with options (total
station), and (3) send a representative from the Police Department
to the Collision Accident Reduction Effort (CARE) Conference. The
original appropriation was for $20,000.
Also enclosed is a resolution to transfer $17,500 from the Laser
Speed Measuring Device Miscellaneous Contractual Services account to
the Miscellaneous Equipment account to enable the Police Department
to purchase the above equipment.
