Re: Resolution for multi-year leases
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the Office of the Corporation Counsel, Family
Support Division to enter into new multi-year lease agreements for a postage meter and
scale for their Hilo and Kona Offices. The current lease on their postage meters and
scales will be expiring soon.
If there are any questions, please do not hesitate to call the Office of the Corporation
Counsel.

A. REQUEST:
To enter into 2 -two year lease agreements for a postage meters and scales to be located at the Family
Support Division, 688 Kinoole St., Suite 214, Hilo, HI and at the Family Support Division, Kona Office, 81-
941 Halekii St. Suite A, Kealakekua, HI 96750.
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
The lease on the postage meters and scales currently being used will be ending December 31, 2006. The
Division anticipates an increase in its workload requiring numerous court documents to be mailed.
Information shown on a metered postmark verifies the date of mailing which is necessary for many court
documents.
