RESOLUTION NO. 32 ' a'~
A RESOLUTION TRANSFERRING/APPROPRIATING AN APPROPRIATION OUT AND
FROM THE DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S) AND CREDITING SAME TO A
DESIGNATED FUND ACCOUNT(S).
WHEREAS, the County of Hawaii through Resolution No. 512-06, accepted the donation of
land located at the Old Hakalau Mill Site, Lot 3D, containing an azea of 3.182 acres, more or less, of
the Hakalau Estates Subdivision, situate at Hakalau Nui, in the District of South Hilo, County and
State of Hawaii, identified as Tax Map Key: (3) 2-9-002:080 from Continental Pacific, LLC; and
WHEREAS, Friends of Hakalau Bay, Hakalau 4 All, Hilo High School Maka`ao Program
(Special Motivation), and the Laupahoehoe High and Elementary School Leo Club will be participants
in the Old Hakalau Mill Site "Adopt a Park" program for the next five (5) years; and
WHEREAS, this pazcel will be a recreational asset to the Hakalau community and the County
of Hawaii; and
WHEREAS, discretionary funds from Council District 1 will be appropriated to the
Department of Pazks and Recreation to be used for the placement of a portable restroom at the Old
Hakalau Mill Site, Lot 3D for the duration of one (1) year at the cost of $3,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE COUNTY OF
HAWAII that the following amount is hereby transferred/appropriated as set forth below:

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED that the County Clerk shall forward a copy of this resolution
to the Director of Parks and Recreation and Director of Finance and that the Director of Finance is
hereby authorized to make the necessary transfers in accordance with the terms of this resolution.
