Re: Kulaimano Park Expansion Project
The Continental Pacific, LLC has committed to contribute to the County of Hawaii, the sum of
$15,000 from each sale of the 22 lots known as the Pepeekeo North SMA and Pepeekeo South SMA
lots at Pepeekeo Point. Their expected contribution, totaling up to $330,000, will be used for the
specific purpose of the design and construction of improvements at the Kulaimano Center and Park.
At this time, $30,000 has already been received by the County of Hawaii due to the sale of 2 lots.
Enclosed is a resolution authorizing the acceptance of these funds from the Continental Pacific, LLC,
36 Poko Place, Hilo, Hawaii 96720.
Also enclosed is a bill for an ordinance adding the Kulaimano Park Expansion Project for $330,000 to
the Capital Budget.

A. REQUEST:
To accept and acknowledge a monetary donation for the design and contruction of improvements at
Kulaimano Center and Park.
To create CIP project: Kulaimano Park Expansion $330,000
B. BACKGROUND AND JUSTIFICATION (USE ADDITIONAL SHEETS AS NEEDED):
Council action is being requested to accept and acknowledge a donation of up to $330,000 from Continental
Pacific LLC for the specific purpose of design and construction of improvements at Kulaimano Center and
Park. Continental Pacific has committed to donate the sum of $15,000 from each sale of the 22 lots known
as the Pepeekeo North SMA and Pepeekeo South SMA lots at Pepeekeo Point. So far, we have received
$30,000 of this donation.
