SUBJECT: A RESOLUTION REQUIRING GLASS MANDATORY RECYCLING FROM
RESTAURANTS AND BARS
Dear Mayor Kim,
At the November 22, 2006 meeting of the Environmental Management Commission, a motion was made
and unanimously passed, in support of the enclosed Resolution.
While the State Beverage Container Redemption Program has encouraged some restaurants and bazs to
recycle and redeem their empty glass bottles, the Commission feels it is important the others step up to
the plate and follow suit.
