RE: Approve Resolutions 16-07 and 17-07 ~ Delay Council Action for CDP
Greetings,
My name is Kim Tavares, and I am on the steering committee for the Puna community
development planning process (Puna CDP).
I have heard our Kona neighbors asking for the Council to hold off on major changes throughout
their CDP process, and so we request on behalf of the CDP process itself, that the Council afford
each active CDP district the opportunity to provide recommendations, and to please consider
these recommendations before making final decisions that might be in conflict with the CDP.
I encourage the Council to approve Resolutions 16-07 and 17-07, to delay actions on items
involving land rezoning or use changes in the districts of Kona and Kohala.
