and South Kona Until the North and South Kona Community Development Plan is
Adopted by Ordinance, or Until September 1, 2007, Whichever shall Occur First)
Dear Chairman Hoffmann and Council Members:
As the result of discussions at the January 4, 2007 County Council meeting, and pursuant to
Council Member Pilago's written request to amend Resolution No. 16-07 to change the date
designated in the resolution from April 1, 2007 to September 1, 2007, Resolution No. 16-07 was
amended to Draft 2 and adopted.
Resolution No. 16-07, Draft 2, reflects amendments to the Title of the Resolution; the Now,
Therefore, Be It Resolved" paragraph on page 2; and the "Be It Further Resolved" paragraph
on page 3, as follows:
• "RESOLUTION TO TEMPORARILY DELAY COUNCIL ACTION ON
REZONING APPLICATIONS IN THE DISTRICTS OF NORTH AND SOUTH
KONA UNTIL THE NORTH AND SOUTH KONA COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT PLAN IS ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE, OR UNTIL [A-1'RI)i}
SEPTEMBER 1, 2007, WHICHEVER SHALL OCCUR FIRST."
• "NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
COUNTY OF HAWAII, that Council action on rezoning applications occurring in the
Districts of North and South Kona be temporarily delayed until the North and South
Kona Community Development Plan is adopted by ordinance, or until [A~i1}

Council by Ordinance, an extension of time in increments of not more than six (6)
months each, shall be requested by Resolution."
