Dear Council Member,
I am opposed to bills 220 and 221 that are up for vote by the County Council. The people
of Puna DO NOT want commercial development along Highway 130. In addition, they are
contrary to what the Community Development Planning committee supports.
The specific proposed commercial business is objectionable for the following
reasons:
1) It is proposed by a non-resident, mainland business venture.
2) The establishment of a business will lead the way to strip malls, and
undermine/destroy the local businesses in Keaau and Pahoa.
Please vote NO on bills 22D and 221 to accurately represent our community.
