Your Committee on Finance, to which was referred Bill No. 5, reports as follows:
Bill No. 5, transmitted jointly with Resolution No. 14-07 by Director of Finance William
Takaba, via Communication No. 13, dated December 4, 2006, amends Ordinance No. 06-79, as
amended, the Operating Budget, ending June 30, 2007. The amendment is as follows:

3607.00 Contribution from Private Source General $2,500.00
To:
010.221.5224.02 Fire Prevention - OCE- General $2,500.00
Educational Supplies
These funds from Wal-Mart Hilo, and will be used towards the purchase of educational materials
to be distributed to the public in commemoration of Fire Prevention Week and of Emergency
Medical Services (EMS) Week.
Pursuant to Article XIII, Section 13.12, Hawaii County Charter, the Council, on behalf of the
County, may accept gifts or donation.
Also, pursuant to Chapter 2, Article 30, Section 2-162 (c), Hawaii County Code, any donation
or gift which does not fall within the capitalization procedures of the Department of Finance
shall be submitted to the Council by letter for its approval.

Henry Street, Kailua-Kona, Hawaii 96740.
